Major Lawn Rehab

This is going to be the year for a new lawn and a small vegetable garden. I’ve moved around so much these past 10 years that having a vegetables garden just didn’t make sense. Why spend weeks planting and weeding and be gone before a harvest?

This year we should be here through the entire summer and possibly into the following year, so I’m determined to put together a raised bed for vegetables and work on the rest of the yard to get the grass back in those patchy spots and pull weeds. We have an especially pesky dandelion problem, as the neighbors across the street do little or nothing to their yard they have a sea of yellow dots across their front lawn that will turn into those cute white blowing seeds that your grandchildren love to run about picking and blowing on the weekends. Blowing right across the street into my yard.

So tomorrow they are calling for the first sunshine in 5 days and I’ll be out in the mud digging up dandelions and putting in some tomato plants.
