I read an excellent interview today from this great website 123-reg blog which interviewed a man named Chris Anderson about his idea called freemium. Now in case you do not know who Chris Anderson is, he is the editor in chief of Wired magazine and the author of the blog the long tail. In this interview Chris discusses the freemium business model and how companies like Google implement it. He also talk about his upcoming book and how if anyone wants to read it then they can, online for free. He talks about social networks and how they are at there beginnings and a little bit about some of the bigger social networks like Facebook and how he is working on a site called Ning, which has about 40,000 social networking sites based on user Niches. Overall the interview was pretty cool and very informative, and in my opinion it is always good to listen to people that are at the top of there industries, and hear what they have to say about the future an current stuff.
