Speaking of Austin
This week has been the 22nd consecutive annual South By South West (SXSW) convention and show, a veritable Modern Woodstock for musicians and filmmakers.
I don’t think there is anyplace like it anywhere in the world, where this much talent is in one place. The closest American festival on the professional level is the Sundance Festival held in Utah every JAnuary. The closest American festival that is opn to the public is the Bonnaroo Festival held every May in Tennessee.
All three of these events are world class, must see events if you have a serious interest in music and film.
