Getting ready for the Holidays to come been cleaning and shopping and getting ready on the mass amount of people about to come over this Christmas and New Years. A lot of great times will be had these Holidays around here for sure. Not quite sure what I am wanting to get this Christmas for everyone it is kind of hard picking out gifts for people who have everything they already want but I am thinking maybe bottles of wine or champagne or something along the lines of gift cards to restaurants. Was wondering what everyone in the blogosphere was getting there loved ones maybe it will help me come up with a better ideas than these two so leave them in the comments would ya.

Now that I have some new windows about to be put in I decided to also go out and buy some blinds from my new windows to be, I looked around everywhere in stores and online and even considered hand making them but found this awesome website called Terrys Fabrics that has tons of different blinds to choose from, including my favorites and then style I choose called venetian blinds. Although I considered getting the wooden blinds for the more natural look I decided to go with the venetian blinds, because the price was just to good for me to pass up. Also as I know from past experiences they work really well at stopping the sunlight from coming in, when they are closed. And of course they also help stop people from looking in as they pass by. Depending on how everything looks and how much money I have at the end of this month I may also get some curtains to finish the whole ensamble.

Has been getting extremely cold around here lately and I have noticed, that my home has got cold drafts coming in from the doors and windows, and I tryed just about everything imaginable to stop the cold air from getting in but nothing seems to work. So I decided to get some replacement windows and doors for my home to stop the cold air from getting in and my money going out the door for electricity. Looking around at stores and then going home to compare prices online. I was able to find the best bargain for my dollar, buying the windows from Angelian Home Improvements online store which carries just about every type of home improvement product you can think of. Not sure how the windows will look until the have been put into place but I ordered some very nice white colored replacement windows that should match the walls really well, considering they are white.

My friend and I were talking over some tea about business when she started talking about this new software her business recently upgraded to called Ashop Commerce. She has a couple of online stores and she now uses this hosted shopping cart software for her store that is so simple to use, I may just start a couple of online stores with it one day. My friend sells jewelry online and other precious stones and metals and uses this shopping cart software to run her online business transactions with. She said everything  I needed to get started selling products online, this company can do. They offer four different types of pricing for hosted packages, all of which are reasonably priced but they also offer a free 10 day trial which is what I am going ot use at first to test it out. Probably the best feature I ve seen is the 24/7 tech support which alot of companies do not offer, and if you know me then you know I like to ask alot of questions.

I have found several great articles detailing some of the issues with online security, but it amazes how many people do not talk more about it. I constantly find people that have kids with myspace accounts and they never seem to consider some of the real security issues with having all kinds of personal information on the web.

If your kids are smart enough to keep their profiles private then it may not as much of an issue, but read this blog post and the associated articles to consider some of the seriously dreadful things that can come from having so much personal information posted online, and consider that you could have another family member posting simple innocent info like the fact that you are going on vacation next week, and what kind of ramifications it could have such as having your home burglarized, all from some simple tidbits on a social network.
