I could not wait to go to the store yesterday and buy the leftover Easter candy at half price! With no little kids in the house, there was no reason to buy the candy before Easter Sunday.

I went to Target to buy new socks and check out what candy they had left. I was surprised that they had almost nothing! There was a bin of leftover straw baskets and egg coloring kits. I figured if I bought an egg coloring kit now at half price, by this time next year I’ll have forgotten that I bought it or I won’t be able to find it, so I didn’t get one. In a pinch you can use regular food coloring, anyway.

They did have some Easter shapes in metal and plastic cookie cutters marked down 50%. I bought a four pack of metal cutters with a tulip, bunny, large egg and butterfly.

No jellybeans, no chocolate bunnies. They had packs of peeps in just a few colors. I bought a pack of yellow bunnies. Call me weird, but I like to cut a slit in the cellophane and let the air in for a couple days to make them just a little stale before I eat them. I don’t know why. Maybe it’s inherited?

They didn’t have any socks in the right color, either. *Sigh*
