I see that the new version of Grand Theft Auto is about to hit the streets. I’m sure it will be a sellout, with everyone anxious to get their hands on the new features and new gameplay of this mega hit video game.

Some of the improvements expected are:

1. Downloadable hot hit tunes from within the game to your own iPod or MP3 player

2. New graphics engine with more details and less load times

3. New cell phone for communication between characters and more activities for the characters, such as throwing darts, drinking beers, bowling, etc.

4. New multiplayer mode that allows up to 16 other players in a game.

5. New, more accurate targeting for shooters.

About a year ago I saw a good price on a computer package and decided on impulse to splurge and buy it. I bought an HP Pavilion Slimline that came with all the bells and whistles, Windows Vista and a beautiful flat screen 19′ color monitor. It set up quickly and I haven’t had any trouble with it at all – knock on wood.

So I thought it would be good to buy another one just like for the home office and we can give the old PC to our grandson. He has just started school and he loves to play with letters and numbers, he can read a couple hundred “sight words” and he like to play with numbers, too. I’ve shown him how to get online to play a couple of good children’s sites games, like Thomas the Train and Dora the Explorer. He can even play a couple simple card games. We are so proud of him!

So I’ve searched everywhere for this Slimline PC and can’t find it for sale anywhere!

Sometimes you have to sit and wait. You might have 15 minutes before a meeting so you don’t want to start anything that you can only work on for 15 minutes and then have to stop. Or you might be waiting for the dryer to finish drying your load of laundry and there’s not much else you have to do until the clothes are dry. You focus on shooting targets or gobbling up pacman dots or whatever, and when you are done you can take a deep breath and jump back into your work with a clear mind and a better attitude.

I like the website called playgame.org because they have a variety of different fun games that you can learn quickly and it’s free. They have a variety of different types of games, from action/adventure to puzzles to racing to shoot em up and others. When you need to take a short break try play game and be honest – it does feel good to win, doesn’t it?

This morning, Motorola CEO Greg Brown said he will break Motorola into two separate companies: one company for mobile phones, and another for everything else, which includes set-top boxes, police radio systems and tools to run wireless networks.Iits troubled mobile devices business will become an individual publicly traded entity under a new management team.

This will be a strategic move to try to regain Motorola’s #2 position in world-wide sales. Multi-faceted Samsung holds the #1 spot and LG is currently in #2.
